THE OPPORTUNITY
Our focus on redefining the how things are done in the emerging energy industry will be key to the future of our organization and the industry itself. Scovan is seeking a Product Development and Program Manager to lead our industry transforming PadX program through initial commercial development & deployment and continued lifecycle improvements. You will bring your management and people skills to drive cross-functional interactions with the Production Innovation, Operations (Engineering & Fabrication), Sales & Marketing and Corporate Services teams. You will be accountable for successful execution of the PadX Program, delivering the next generation of standardized, sustainable, and intelligent well pads. You will be accountable for identifying and implementing design optimization opportunities throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead the development and operation of new technologies being considered for future versions of PadX through trials at our planned Centre of Excellence. You seek to understand and get involved with technical engineering, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, automation & sales aspects as required to ensure product development and program success.

This role will be accountable to the Vice President of Product Innovation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accountable for successful execution of the PadX program
• Accountable for all technical design aspects of the PadX program and its product offerings
• Commercial product development & deployment, continued lifecycle improvements
• Accountable for upkeep and execution of the program’s development road map to continually improve the product offering, including artificial intelligence and automated manufacturing work scopes
• Pursue engineering excellence. Be relentless in pursuit of opportunities to automate, optimize and advance productivity and efficiencies that help reduce overall costs and increase the quality of the product offering
• Create business cases for commercial deployment strategies and subsequent lifecycle improvements

This is a hands-on role – we’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to get in the trenches and lead by example.

• Be aware of project scopes, schedules, and budgets as it pertains to design and drafting;

• Coordinate and execute schedule requirements for paperspace deliverables with discipline lead, roject Manager and Design Team;
• Pursue design and drafting excellence. Be relentless in pursuit of opportunities to automate, optimize and advance productivity and efficiencies that help reduce overall costs and increases the quality of design and drafting deliverables;
• Identify potential operational barriers and improve on the reliability of our design and drawings;
• Work closely with project teams, engineering team, electrical team and other project partners/stakeholders in the duration of a project.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 to 8 years of electrical and controls design experience (Junior and Intermediate roles) of applicable project execution experience;
• You come with a technical electrical and controls design background and have exposure to design execution and responsibilities in your past roles.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software;
• Hold either a degree, diploma or certificate from an accredited institution;

• To provide leadership and accountability for the electrical drafters;

THE OPPORTUNITY
Our focus on redefining the how things are done in the emerging energy industry will be key to the future of our organization and the industry itself. Scovan is seeking an Innovation Specialist to join our Product Innovation team. You will be accountable for identifying and evaluating systems optimization and product development opportunities. You will also work closely with Product Development and Systems Optimization for continued lifecycle improvement of existing products. You will bring your management and people skills to drive cross-functional interactions with the Product Innovation, Operations (Engineering & Fabrication), Corporate & Finance, and Sales & Marketing teams. You seek to understand and get involved with technical engineering, fabrication, artificial intelligence, automation, business & sales aspects as required to support Innovation efforts, along with product and program success.

This role will be accountable to the Vice President of Product Innovation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for in-house product and/or program development (including partnerships with new tech, technology acquisitions)
• Complete engineering reviews, establish road maps, and create a robust business case for all product development opportunities
• Chair the Innovation Committee, stewards of the Innovation Roadmap and Fresh Friday initiatives
• Work closely with Product Development to support the development of new products as well as continued lifecycle improvement of existing
• Work closely with Systems Optimization to support the implementation of AI/ML and automation opportunities
• Develop and lead the planned Centre of Excellence to support the testing of new technologies
• Forge proactive relationships with funders, maintain awareness of funding opportunities, and spearhead grant applications
• Early engagement with new tech companies; lead efforts to advance required engineering and/or manufacturing to advance their technologies
• Develop a leadership presence in the Innovation ecosystem, and engage with forward looking Industry Associations, innovation accelerators, research entities, etc. to identify and advance solutions to market
• Pursue excellence. Be relentless in pursuit of opportunities to expand Scovan’s product portfolio and optimize existing operations.

THE OPPORTUNITY
An opportunity for valuable growth and experience in finance and accounting – to take responsibility and initiative to develop this new role. The objective is to maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. This position will work closely with the accounting clerks in Ponoka and Calgary and will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Full-cycle accounting including month-end close process;
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and bank statements;
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules including processing depreciation entries;
• Work closely with other teams to ensure accurate project reporting and related month-end accruals;
