THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a talented and motivated Human Resources Coordinator who leads with good vibes and great energy. You will play a key role in supporting the People & Culture department and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all HR-related tasks.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract talent for various positions within the organization.
  • Lead the talent acquisition process: advertise positions, screen resumes, organize interviews and check references.
  • Ensure onboarding/offboarding plans are created and managed in Monday.com and coordinate activities with hiring leaders.
  • Manage administrative details associated with the new hire process including facilitating new hire orientations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Understanding of Alberta Employment Standards as they relate to payroll and HR.
  • Ability to handle sensitive material and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

We are seeking three dynamic Electrical Designer’s to join our team on a 4-month contract. As a technical expert in electrical design, you will lead by example, demonstrating best practices and providing hands-on support. You will collaborate closely with the project team, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets. This role requires a proactive leader who is ready to dive into the work and guide the team with expertise and commitment.

The role reports directly to the Electrical Manager.

  • Be a part of a dynamic team working with the project manager to execute the process and mechanical engineering responsibilities on challenging and innovative energy projects.
  • Pursue engineering excellence. Be relentless in pursuit of opportunities to automate, optimize and advance productivity and efficiencies that help reduce overall costs and increases the quality of the project scope/engineering deliverables.
  • Ensures that the project execution is in accordance with the Scovan Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP).
  • Identify potential operational barriers and improve on the reliability of our project deliverables.
  • Communicate, Interface, and collaborate effectively with manager, project team, vendors, and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • APEGA Licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng)
  • Minimum 10 years of applicable project engineering experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, advanced knowledge of Excel is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in common industrial facility deliverables including:
    • Design Basis Development
    • Cost Estimating
    • PID Development
    • Mechanical / Process equipment specification and design
  • You come with a technical engineering background and have exposure to project management responsibilities in your past roles.
  • To take ownership of the results and to work to improve future results.
  • Take initiative, advocate and exemplify teamwork, innovative thinking and problem solving.
  • Experience in emerging energy fields is a definite asset.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to manage in an environment of ambiguity with a diverse range of partners.
  • Experience working in continuous delivery environments where the pace is fast.
  • A willingness to fail and learn.
  • Earnest, mature, and ego-free. You welcome candid feedback and can constructively give it as well.
