Scovan is pleased to announce the appointment of Hans Verwijs, P.Eng, PMP as Director of Projects.
Hans brings over 25 years of progressive and diverse project leadership experience across energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. With a proven track record in delivering complex capital projects ranging from $500 million to $8 billion, Hans has consistently demonstrated his ability to guide teams through all stages of project execution—from concept through to delivery.
He has directed multi-national teams on major facility expansions, overseen detailed engineering and procurement for large-scale projects, and advanced initiatives in clean energy development. Hans has also built high-performing teams, integrated operations through change, and developed governance systems and playbooks to ensure seamless project execution.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Hans is a dedicated volunteer and lifelong learner. He has served in leadership roles with local organizations, taught Project Management at SAIT for more than a decade, and continues to pursue new knowledge, including studies in architecture.
Hans is known for his ability to synthesize knowledge, build strong relationships, and deliver pragmatic solutions to complex challenges. His leadership style is grounded in listening, collaboration, and driving results with integrity and precision.
